Welcome To Our Home

Established in May 2002 in Richmond, VA. We are a group of professional woman who enjoy reading literature by African-American authors. We meet approximately once a month at a predetermined locations.

Our paramount purpose is to look for ways to strengthen the bond individually and collectively within the community. We intelligently and boldly speak about real issues that effect real people. The books we read broadcast our true feelings and help us relate and cope with our own personal life experiences.

When we meet together, we dine, recline, and discuss the book of the month. We decide on the following meeting sites, reading titles and event. A newsletter is produced once a week which informs and updates the club about activities, ideas, new book releases and events within the communityAlthough we are a new group we want to develop into more than a social book club, we strive to be positive examples of African Americans in our communities.
